Why Should I Join?

If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career then Millwright Local 1755 may be right for you. Equipped with one of the premier millwright training centers in the country, you will have access to the latest technical training in a diverse range of skills for installation, erection, assembly and maintenance of all types of industrial machinery and production equipment. Combining classroom work with hands-on instruction specifically designed to teach you the superior skills to become a productive millwright.

As an apprentice you will receive 10,000 hours of classroom and on-the-job training, taught by journeymen with years of experience in the millwright trade. As a Journeyman Millwright you are eligible to continue your training specifically designed to upgrade your trade skills with the latest knowledge and technology, making you a more valuable employee for the union contractor. This training includes all safety training to do your job safely and comes at no cost to you. Better trained millwrights have better wages, benefits and opportunities for advancement. Availability to training throughout your career, allows you to continue being a valuable employee to contractors making good wages, good benefits and to work in a safely on the job, protected by a collectively bargained agreement. This gives you opportunity to provide a better life for you and your family and to retire with dignity.
